Events & Activities In The Catskills & Hudson Valley | October 2023
Posted by Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023 at 12:53pm
Yes! It is fall, fall, fall! Upstate, that means that everyone gets an extra bump in energy. The constant sugar-high from all the apples, apple cider doughnuts, and artisanal mac and cheese on offer everywhere plus the crispy air makes for what feels like a brisk six weeks before the holidays set in. Our favorite events take place in late September and October. Everywhere you go there is a tasty treat to be had and a trail to take that is wonderfully different this time of year. This isn't an exhaustive list of what's going on in the coming weeks (by any means) but these are our recommendations for getting the best taste of the region and the season.
As the local experts in Real Estate, we're always looking for events, large and small, to share with our clients, friends and neighbors. Share yours in the comments if we missed it or send us an email at info@villagegreenrealty.com.
Saugerties Garlic Festival
Where: Saugerties, New York
The Saugerties Garlic Festival might be the Upstate festival that inspired all other Upstate festivals! In the tradition in which it was born, it continues as a celebration of harvest time, particularly the harvest of that bulb that flavors so many of our favorite dishes and wards off unwanted vampiric advances – GARLIC! This classic is two-days of all things garlicky with over 100 vendors – farmers, restaurants, crafts and artists, live entertainment, and more.
