Hudson Valley Fall Events
This is the best time of year to be outside - it's just so comfy! A light sweater, a pair of jeans, some snazzy boots, and a nice relaxing weekend event, and we're loving my life. Late Summer/Early Fall can be a time for the ultimate FOMO in The Hudson Valley and Catskills. Even this year, with events just getting rolling again, there are so many events it can be really difficult to decide which to prioritize. Of course, you need to pick apples and eat cider doughnuts; here's Hudson Valley Magazine's Guide on that - they do a great job. Of course, you'll need to leaf peep in the late fall; here's The Great Northern Catskills guide to the best spots to see the fall foliage and get out of your car. But everywhere you turn there are announcements of other events. So, which do you pick? We narrowed it down to a few of our favorites. Some are on the list because they are iconic, and we're thrilled they're back. Some are on the list because they are integral to the character of the communities we work in, and we weren't the same without them. "Huzzah" for the return of fall events, you won't go wrong with any of our picks! It goes without saying (but we feel obliged to say it anyway) that with the ever-changing landscape we live in, we suggest you check the websites and social media profiles of the organizations hosting these events for special requirements and changes before you go.

Windham Autumn Affair"The two-day event is a popular favorite bringing friends, neighbors and visitors together to celebrate the fall season amidst the beautiful the great northern Catskills. Organized and presented by the Windham Chamber of Commerce, the event offers a wide variety of activities and adventure for everyone!” Here's a poorly kept secret about the Autumn Affair - it’s just as much for dogs as it is for people. For years we were surprised by the sheer number of pups at The Affair. So, we decided to incorporate a Coldwell Banker Homes For Dogs adoption event into the mix and a doggie beauty contest. |
Ulster County Canines will be bringing some of the many pups they care for who need homes to our office on Main Street. In 2019 all of the UCC attendees found loving homes, we’re hoping to help some more of their worthy doggies this year. If you’ve already got a doggie you love we have something for them too! It’s our “Smooch A Pooch” contest. Come have your picture taken with your dog (or if you’re shy, they can fly solo). The week following The Affair we have open voting on our Facebook and Instagram channels for the most photogenic pups, three winners take home gift certificates to a local pet store. Come See Us!

Art Of The Quartet

Ah, a string quartet. The very thought is relaxing, but that level of relaxation pales in comparison to actually sitting in a room with the string quartet (while they’re playing of course). This evening’s program has some Beethoven, some Bach, and some modern composers mixed in.

O+ Festival, KingstonO+ Festival is back! This is a special event! Artists and musicians create and perform in exchange for services donated by doctors, dentists and other care providers, attendees are treated to amazing art. "The theme of the 2021 Festival is O+ygen. O+ Art Director Lindsey Wolkowicz reflects that “Oxygen is essential. It connects all living organisms through a cycle of exchange and function of our bodies that, for many of us, is automatic or even taken for granted.” Wolkowicz continues, “In countless ways, we have been made aware of our breath through compounding crises over the last year. But breathing in oxygen is also at the center of healing, balance, self-empowerment and our shared humanity.” When: October 8th Through October 10th |
