Hudson Valley and Catskills Events For 4th Of July Weekend 2024

Posted by Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 at 1:06pm

Let Freedom Ring, Let Freedom Ring, Let Freedom Ring! At Coldwell Banker Village Green Realty the Fourth of July might be our favorite holiday. Here’s why…

  1.  The weather almost never fails to be beautiful!
  2.  There are fireworks!!!
  3. Everyone from across the Hudson Valley and Catskills from the community groups, to the breweries and distilleries, to art galleries, to the farmers, butchers, bakers and chefs all seem to have the singular goal of giving us a great weekend! We’ll take it.

Let’s start with the main event…

Every year we fuss over whether or not to create our own guide the 4th of July fireworks celebrations in the Catskills and Hudson Valley only to discover that two local publications, Chronogram Magazine and Hudson Valley Magazine, do an incredible job of putting together nearly exhaustive lists. In 2024 we’re just sending you straight there!

Wherever you land for fireworks, you’ll probably find one of us - there are over 100 of us and we like to spread ourselves around! Look for the Coldwell Banker Village Green Logo walking through the crowd and let your real estate questions fly as the 1812 Overture plays and the sky gets sparkly.

We've also put together a shortlist of events culled from the hundreds you have to choose from in Ulster, Greene, Columbia, Orange, Sullivan, and Dutchess Counties. They share the common threads of being at venues we know and love and being experiences we feel are unique to this part of the world.

Whatever you choose to do, we hope you have an incredible weekend enjoying the sights and sounds of the Catskills and Hudson Valley within this incredible country that affords us the freedom to enjoy them.

Twin Star Orchards Pig Roast

Twin Star is one of our favorite spots in Ulster County! We’ve had them host company parties because it’s a pretty perfect place, a place where we’re happy to spend our free time. Is it beautiful and breezy? Yes! Who doesn’t want to have an elevated picnic in an apple orchard? Is the food good? Yes! Their burgers are DELICIOUS. Their pizza is DELICIOUS. We’re sure their pig roast will be DELICIOUS. Is there cider? Yes indeed! There’s great cider! Try the “Bone Dry”. They have corn hole and other games available that will tempt you to stay all afternoon. Who doesn’t love corn hole? Let us know how the roast was!
